Medical examiner membership
College membership for medical examiners
The Royal College of Pathologists would like to welcome new medical examiners practising in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar as members of the College. As part of their membership they will be awarded the use of the new post nominals ‘RCPathME’ while they remain members.
Medical examiners will be eligible to join on completion of:
- 26 eLfH Medical Examiner e-learning modules (Nov 2018 revision)
- the RCPath face-to-face Medical Examiner training (online or in person)
They must also demonstrate current registration with the GMC.
On completion of the face-to-face or virtual training you will be invited to apply for membership of the Royal College of Pathologists. If you haven’t received this or need it resent, please contact [email protected]. This is optional and will not affect your ability to work as a medical examiner. An annual membership fee will be charged to become a member and use the post nominals. Existing RCPath Fellows are not required to pay the extra annual membership fee but must complete the application form. If you wish to join our CPD scheme, please email the CPD team [email protected]. Please note that there is an additional charge to join the CPD scheme.
