Roles of Trainees Advisory Committee Members
Members of the Trainees Advisory Committee are nominated or elected to represent trainees on their respective specialty committees. Some trainees also double up as representatives on the College Specialty Training Committees (CSTCs), which look specifically at training and examination matters for the three major specialty areas of Histopathology; Medical Microbiology/Medical Virology and Chemical Pathology.
A 'General Introduction to Trainee Roles on Committees' was written by histopathology trainee representatives Dr Caroline Young and Dr Rebecca Halas in May 2015 and should be of interest to any trainee who would like to have general information on what the various College committees do.
Specific Trainee Representative roles are set out below, written by the trainee reps who sit on the individual Specialty Advisory Committees (SACs).
